The Thermo Scientific™ Vanta™ GX Precious Metal Analyzer is a specialized version of the Vanta platform. While the hardware (SDD detector, X-ray tube) is similar to other Vanta models, it is specifically calibrated and software-configured for the jewelry, refining, and pawn industries.
Unlike general-purpose XRFs, the “Precious Metal” configuration is optimized for gold, silver, platinum group metals (PGM), and trace impurities/counterfeit elements (like iridium or tungsten).
